Ann A. Pritzlaff, HistoriCorps Governance Committee Chair
Ann A. Pritzlaff is the HistoriCorps Governance Committee Chair providing preservation expertise for projects and program, program fundraising, direction for regional and national expansion, setting goals and strengthening partnerships. Ms Pritzlaff is a Preservation and Policy Consultant working on historic preservation, public lands, heritage education and tourism outreach and policy. Particular areas of expertise include heritage tourism, working with elected officials and advocacy and coordinating educational events. Ms. Pritzlaff produced and coordinated the Saving Places Conference, an event widely recognized as the leading statewide historic preservation conference in the country. Other notable efforts include creating and coordinating educational events for youth, helping to instigate Colorado’s statewide heritage tourism program, coordinating state and national preservation policy actions.
2011 marks Ms. Pritzlaff’s over thirty-five years in the field of preservation. With an M.S. in Historic Preservation, her career highlights include serving as State Historic Preservation Officer in Arizona, and appointments by Colorado Governor Bill Owens and Governor Bill Ritter to the State Historic Preservation Review Board and President George W. Bush to serve as an “Historic Preservation Expert” for two 4 year terms on the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, where she also serves as chair of the Preservation Initiatives Committee and on the Executive Committee.
