HistoriCorps Launches “Field School for Saving Places”

Hannah Barker (2)Exciting news! HistoriCorps is partnering with Lamar Community College to launch the first-of-its-kind, field-based building preservation school! Through HistoriCorps’ “Field School for Saving Places,” this partnership program combines hands-on experience with interactive, online courses. By participating in HistoriCorps’ projects and online foundational courses, enrolled students will earn Historic Preservation Research and Documentation Certificate or two Building Preservation Certificates.  These three certificates can be credited toward an Associate degree of Applied Science (AAS) in Historic Building Technology.
