Work with HistoriCorps!
HistoriCorps is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster a preservation ethic by engaging volunteers in saving historic places.
HistoriCorps’ mission is to save and sustain historic places for public benefit through partnerships that foster public involvement, engage volunteers, and provide training and education.
- Saves historic buildings
- Teaches volunteers and students traditional building skills
- Encourages volunteerism on public lands
This season’s projects will restore/rehabilitate historic buildings that were originally used as ranches, historic summer homes, ranger stations, fire lookout towers and more. The buildings are all remotely located on America’s spectacular public lands (Bureau Land Management, National Park Service, United States Forest Service, state lands). While most sites are accessible by high clearance vehicles, some require a hike to access the sites.
