United States Forest Service (USFS)
The concept of HistoriCorps was created by USFS employees Terri Liestman and Doug Stephens. Since HistoriCorps’ founding in 2009, more than 80 historic structures have been preserved on Forest Service properties.
Denver Parks and Recreation
DPR manages the singularly unique Mountain Parks System, which spans five counties in Colorado. HistoriCorps has partnered with DPR to engage local volunteers, students, and youth in maintaining historic structures across the Mountain Parks system. Our headquarters are located in the Mount Morrison Civilian Conservation Corps campus.
California State Parks’ mission is to provide for the health, inspiration and education of the people of California by helping to preserve the state’s extraordinary biological diversity, protecting its most valued natural and cultural resources, and creating opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation. The agency’s strong partnership with HistoriCorps upholds and advances this mission.
Colorado Preservation Inc. (CPI)
HistoriCorps began as a program run by Colorado Preservation Inc. As we grew into our own 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CPI provided important guidance and support.
