Preserving Section 106
An Educational Series
In this six-part series, HistoriCorps delves into the newly proposed changes to Section 106 of the Historic Preservation Act – legislation that requires federal agencies to consider the effects of their projects and “undertakings” on historic and cultural properties. As a non-profit with the mission of fostering a preservation ethic by engaging volunteers to save historic places, our ability to do so could be greatly affected.
Starting October 8th, we will release a new part of the series every Thursday. We hope you enjoy this ediucational series and engage in the conversation around proposed changes to Section 106 with your communities.
